Konami confirms that Silent Hills is cancelled

In sad news for fans of the Silent Hill franchise, Konami confirmed today with Polygon that they have cancelled plans to complete the upcoming Silent Hills game that was being worked on with Guillermo del Toro.

“Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic Silent Hills project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued”

Konami have also announced that the incredibly atmospheric and terrifying demo for the Silent Hills game, P.T. will soon be removed from the PlayStation Store, so if you’re a fan of the franchise or just having a good scare you best get it now before it gets removed on April 30th.
