Resident Evil Revelations 2 Available Episodically Today!

Earlier today Capcom confirmed that the first episode of their Resident Evil Revelations sequel has now been digitally released. Available for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One you will be able to purchase the four episodes individually or as a complete boxed product in March.

Rather than redoing their hard work here’s a CTRL C V of the press release or, if you prefer, you can just peruse over sixty screenshots on our Resident Evil Revelations 2 images page:

The beginning of the Resident Evil Revelations 2 tale sees fan favourite Claire Redfield make a dramatic return. Survivor of the Raccoon City incident depicted in previous Resident Evil games, Claire now works for the anti-bioterrorism organization Terra Save. Moira Burton, is attending her welcome party for Terra Save when unknown armed forces storm the office, capture Claire and Moira and take them to a dark and abandoned detention facility on a mysterious island. Headed for the remote island in search of his missing daughter, Barry Burton meets brand new character Natalia Korda, a little girl who has a strange power that allows her to sense enemies and hidden items. Using this skill alongside Barry’s proven combat abilities, players will need to alternate between the two to survive the mysterious island and find Moira. With terrifying enemies waiting around every dark corner, players will need to use their ammo and weapon supply wisely, in classic survival horror style.

Evolving the episodic chapter set-up of the original Resident Evil Revelations, Resident Evil Revelations 2 is releasing as a weekly series of episodic downloads beginning today. A digital download option of the Complete Season is also available to ensure fans can get each episode as it rolls out, and a retail disc version will arrive on March 20, 2015 when the final episode releases. Each episode in Resident Evil Revelations 2 includes Raid mode content and two full playable scenarios focused on the Claire and Moira storyline as well as the Barry and Natalia campaign.

There are two things I love in life… playing games and my family. I work three jobs; one to pay the bills, another as a video game designer at C117 Games, and, of course, here – at Another Dungeon.

I own almost every console since the Atari 7800 and am proud of my extensive collection of games. I’m more of a single or coop player but I do dabble in multiplayer on the odd occasion. Tabletop wise I prefer strategic games like Five Tribes or Small World. If you want to have a game or just chat feel free to add me, PM me or email me.

  • I would have loved to continue this on 3DS, but I guess this’ll do 🙂

    • Dave C Haldane

I don’t want to continue it at all 🙁 I am surprised there’s no handheld ports in there though

      • It looks like it’ll head to Vita later this year.
