Street Fighter V Beta & Charlie Nash

Street Fighter V Beta & Charlie Nash

Yesterday Capcom announced they are planning an online beta program for Street Fighter V on the PlayStation 4 and PC. Promoted as the largest and most ambitious online beta program in franchise history… yeah they really said that… maybe they just mean their franchise history… details have yet to be announced for how to enrol. If you’re fortunate enough to be in North America you only need pre-order the game to enrol. I’d assume something similar would apply for buddiong beta testers elsewhere on the globe but we’ll have to wait for further info.

Also announced today, we will be performing the largest and most ambitious online beta program in franchise history with Street Fighter V on PS4 and PC! These tests will be essential to collect your feedback and to ensure that Street Fighter V is the best iteration yet. In North America, players who pre-order the game will automatically be enrolled into the beta program.

More details, including timing on the beta program will be revealed in the future so stay tuned for updates.

Alongside the beta announcement a proper Charlie Nash Trailer was released. Teased at the end of 2014 Nash is probably of more interest to long time fans than casual street fighters as, unless you’re up on your lore, he’s not been around often enough to make an impact. In fact, outside the first Street Fighter and Street Fighter Alpha he’s only mentioned in passing as the reason for Guile entering the Street Fighter II tournament. Guess Guile didn’t have to avenge his friend’s death after all! Sonic Booms all around!

There are two things I love in life... playing games and my family. I work three jobs; one to pay the bills, another as a video game designer at C117 Games, and, of course, here - at Another Dungeon. I own almost every console since the Atari 7800 and am proud of my extensive collection of games. I'm more of a single or coop player but I do dabble in multiplayer on the odd occasion. Tabletop wise I prefer strategic games like Five Tribes or Small World. If you want to have a game or just chat feel free to add me, PM me or email me.
