Time to get the band back together with Guitar Hero Live

Its been announced that one of the icons of the rhythm gaming will be returning in 2015, Guitar Hero is back as Guitar Hero Live with new features and a redesigned guitar controller. Some of the features being added are live crowds and band mates that react to your performance, they’ve also also added Guitar Hero Live, where you can play to real crowds and get real reactions and Guitar Hero TV which is the worlds first playable music video network and touted as having hundreds of videos across multiple genres and will have a continuing updating library.

In addition to all this the biggest shake up looks like it will be the new controller and potentially the next evolution of the classic guitar controller. The strum bar and whammy bar still provide old-school backup to the new 2×3 button layout that apparently makes the game easier to pick up yet more challenging to master and I for one cant wait to give it a try.

Guitar Hero Live will be coming out in “Fall” 2015 (so no exact date yet) for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U with an RRP of $149.95 AUD, so the only question left that you need to ask yourself is are you ready to rock?

  • You know, I like that Guitar Hero is returning but I definitely won’t be playing it. I really enjoyed some of the games, but my problem came up when I’d play a song I’d loved only to find that whenever I listened to that song I’d think of Rock Band or Guitar Hero. It ruined songs I love. I may be in the minority of this though.
